Getting started
Is the demo multiplayer? Separate the solo trial from future co-op plans
The current public demo is a single-player trial. The parent game's Online Co-op and Online PvP store tags describe a broader development direction; they do not establish that those modes are available in this demo.
The October 8 publisher announcement confirms a commitment to multiplayer support. That newer commitment also means the June 2025 single-player-first reply should not be read as a permanent rejection of multiplayer.

Check which product a feature belongs to
- Confirm that the running title is Dandelion Void Demo, App 5248460, rather than assuming every tag on parent App 3582810 applies to it.
- Read the current demo description and its own metadata. The demo is identified as single-player, while the parent listing includes online modes.
- If you are deciding whether to download it with a friend, plan on separate solo runs of this trial. We have no verified current-demo host, join, lobby or server setup to provide.
A multiplayer announcement, an online tag and a working demo lobby are different kinds of evidence. Neither a future feature list nor a search result titled multiplayer demo proves a usable session exists today.
Why the old replies and new announcement differ
| Source and date | What it supports | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Developer reply · June 9, 2025 | An initial focus on a solid single-player Early Access experience | An older development position, before the current demo |
| Publisher partnership · October 8, 2026 | Funding enables a commitment to multiplayer support | Does not supply a current demo joining procedure |
| Current demo / October player replies | Solo trial available now; players redirect questions to the new announcement | No verified multiplayer mode for this trial |
What remains unconfirmed for a playable co-op session
The checked announcement does not give this demo a co-op unlock date, a player-count limit or dedicated-server instructions. We therefore do not borrow server commands, port settings or invite procedures from Project Zomboid or another survival game.
The parent store's planned 2027 release is not a dated promise that a particular co-op mode will arrive on a particular day. For changes, look for a release note explicitly naming the demo or a playable multiplayer build, then confirm the feature in that version.
What you can do in the current solo demo
The official launch describes scavenging, crafting, cooking and making a home on the Pergola. Start with the official demo download, then choose a resting room and a return route.
You can compare separate runs with a friend, but this guide does not present that as in-game co-op or shared progress. Save behavior also varies between reported runs; check saving and world-state restoration separately.
