Health & infection
Dying moodle: check bleeding before trying to heal
Dying warns that your health is dangerously low; it does not tell you the cause. Stop fighting. If a separate Bleeding moodle is present, a current demo player recommends a bandage or cloth scrap. Then satisfy hunger and thirst and rest or sleep somewhere safe.
Players report recovery after a safe night, but this is not a fixed healing-time promise. A new dirt demand is a separate infection check.
Your next check
Read the symptom. Choose the next check.
- 01Immediate danger → stop fighting
- 02Bleeding present → bandage / cloth scrap
- 03Ordinary hunger + thirst → replenish
- 04Safe rest → recheck health; no fixed timer

Choose the symptom in front of you
| What you see | First check | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Dying, with Bleeding | Bandage or cloth scrap, away from immediate danger | Food alone is not the reported bleeding treatment |
| Dying, without Bleeding | Hunger, thirst and a safe rest | Dying does not identify every source of damage |
| An extra dirt demand | Read the dirt-infection branch | Ordinary food and water do not replace that reported extra need |
A practical recovery sequence
- Break off combat and move out of immediate danger. The Dying reply describes being close to death, so another encounter can be costly.
- Look for a distinct Bleeding status. If present, use the reported bandage or cloth-scrap treatment and check whether that status clears.
- Refill ordinary hunger and thirst. Recheck both after using supplies rather than assuming one item solved the problem.
- Rest or sleep in a safe place, then compare your health warning. The source reports healing by morning under those conditions; it does not measure a universal timer.
- If health keeps falling, check the other status indicators and the separate dirt bar. Do not keep entering combat just because you ate.
Already found a makeshift bed?
ook, who says they finished the current demo, recommends carrying a makeshift bed after finding one. Their reason is portable rest away from a permanent base and less need to navigate at night.
That advice does not locate your first bed. The independent HOW DO I SLEEP thread ends with the questioner saying they worked it out, without explaining a button, furniture interaction or location. A kitchen mat is not a confirmed substitute here.
Use the actual interaction shown by an item you have. This guide does not invent a sleep key or promise that any empty patch of floor is safe.
Make a resting room more comfortable
The developer's October 8 demo announcement says nicer furniture and a cleaner room can activate a comfort bonus that improves healing speed and some action speeds. It also identifies a special tune as a cue that the bonus is active.
- Choose a room away from immediate danger.
- Improve its cleanliness and furnishings with resources you already have.
- Listen for the comfort cue. No exact furniture count or percentage is established in that announcement.
After loading a save, a visible cleaning prompt may fail to change algae in the world. That is a reported save-related problem, not proof that the room is clean.
When the warning persists
The other Dying responder lists a medkit, rest or sleep as ways to recover, and says medkits were very rare in their own testing. That is not a dependable medkit location or a reason to delay the more accessible food, water and rest checks.
If these checks do not match your symptoms, compare your installed demo with the linked discussion and released notes. The exact build number was not established by the source. No cure for every injury, permanent status or infection is promised.
